Gilbert Ray Davila, 55, of Corsicana passed unexpectedly August 3, 2020 at his residence.

He was born August 23, 1964, in Dallas, the son of Andres Charles Davila and Anita Davila (Garcia). Gilbert graduated from CHS, class of 82. Following graduation he worked 13 years at Tom’s Snack Co. in Corsicana until assuming the role of caregiver for his mother until her passing.
Gilbert lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures. He most enjoyed spending time with his boys and “grand-dogs”, chatting with friends and family and tending to his most-prized flower collection.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers Andy, Randy, Freddie and Floyd. He is survived by his sons Josh Davila and wife Roni of Corsicana, Christian Davila and girlfriend Ashley of Corsicana, sister Belinda Moreno and husband Lewis of Midlothian, sister Mercy Alonzo and husband Sunday of Corsicana, and a number of cousins, nieces and nephews he loved deeply.
Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Corley Funeral Home with the rosary starting at 7:00 PM with Lewis Palos officiating. A private burial will follow at a later date.
The wearing of masks and social distancing will be enforced at all services.
