Susan L. Nyquist, loving wife, mother, Maka, and friend passed away on Tuesday, July 28th, 2020 at Navarro Regional Hospital in Corsicana, TX. She was born on October 20th, 1949 in Escanaba, MI to Richard and Betty Lou Way.

Sue grew up in Wells, MI where she graduated from Escanaba High School and met the love of her life, David A. Nyquist. Sue loved doing arts and crafts with her sisters such as rug-hooking, cross-stitching, etc. Every year she looked forward to getting together with her sisters in Appleton, WI to do crafts together, talk, laugh, and just enjoy spending time together.
Sue was an amazing cook that enjoyed cooking for her family as well as her friends. Sue always put her family and loved ones first. She was the embodiment of love.
Sue loved the Lord and loved Jesus and it was reflected in the life she led every day. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Corsicana where you would find her with her family.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Betty Lou Way of Wells, MI.
Sue is survived by her husband, David Allen Nyquist of Corsicana, and her children; Dana Nyquist Bunch and her husband, David Alan Bunch of Dallas, TX; and David Benjamin Nyquist of Corsicana. Her grandchildren include Betty Sue Bunch, Bobby Charles Bunch, and Charlie Benjamin Bunch of Dallas, TX. She is also survived by her sisters; Kathy Jacobs and her husband Randy of Iron River, MI, Patti Ann Kenneally of Wells, MI, Cindy Lauer and her husband Dan of Iron River, MI, Pam Bremer and her husband Jim of Slinger, WI. She is also survived by her brother Jeff Way and his wife Corrine of Wells, MI. Lastly, she is survived by 11 nieces and nephews that she loved so much.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 1st, 2020 at First Baptist Church in Corsicana, TX with Dr. Danny P. Reeves officiating. Pallbearers are Bethel Johnson, Seth Brown, Dr. John Smith, Rick Newton, Jimbo Parks, Larry Morrison, Mark Rogers, and Pete Zack. A private burial with family and friends in attendance will follow the service at Oakwood Cemetery. The wearing of masks and social distancing will be enforced.
