Charles Franklin Irvine was born on December 19, 1951, in Navarro County to Robert Earl Irvine and Margaret (Peggy) Lillian Shema Irvine. Charles (Charlie) was from Eureka and in his early years attended school in Mildred, Texas. He moved to Palisade, Colorado and graduated from the Palisade High School in 1970.

He then attended Navarro College and Sam Houston State University where he graduated in December 1974 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. He was a Certified Public Accountant and had an office in the Bank of America building (formerly First National Bank building).

Community boards and service organizations that Charlie served on include the First State Bank of Dawson, Family Services, Navarro County Crime Stoppers, Navarro County Lake Planning & Zoning Board, Camp of the Rising Sun, volunteer with CASA, Meals on Wheels, Navarro County Child Protective Services, and the Navarro County Central Appraisal Board. Charlie was on the YMCA Board of Directors starting in 1993. He served as YMCA President in 1995, 2004, and 2009. He served on several YMCA committees, including the Finance, Endowment, and Investment Committee. Charlie was the nineteenth recipient of the C. V. Breithaupt, Jr. Service Award in 2005 for his commitment to the YMCA of Corsicana and service to his community.

In 2010 Charlie married Cyndi Bilbo, and they lived in Cryer Creek until his death. Together they founded the Charles Irvine Christian Foundation in 2017 to provide grants to support Navarro County churches and Christian organizations. After death the Charles Irvine Christian Foundation serves as his legacy to continue to assist in achieving the Great Commission of Christ. He is survived by his wife Cyndi Irvine, daughter Demi Pawzun, and granddaughter Elliana Pawzun.

Remembering Charlie in his younger years at the YMCA, he was always there working out and visiting with friends. He was a familiar face in the community and always had time to talk. Our prayers and deepest sympathy to all the family! May you rest in peace "Charlie" and may your legacy live on....god bless!

Cyndi, we are deeply saddened by the news of Charlie’s passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Peter 5:10 -And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. We love you all and are so blessed to have known Charlie. Love always

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 ESV

But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words.
