Joy loved to sing in the church choir as well as just around the house while cooking delicious meals or sewing clothes for her children and herself. She was an avid fan of girls’ softball and coached numerous girls in Corsicana throughout her life. She referred to the girls that she coached as her “softball daughters”. She loved everyone and always had a smile on her face and open arms for anyone and everyone. She was outgoing, friendly, loving, caring and beautiful inside and out, and kind-hearted. She never met a stranger and loved visitors. She was an active member at Emmanuel Baptist Church for many years.
Joy was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister Charlotte Ann Harmon.
