Mrs. Darlene G. Bridges, age 77, of Corsicana passed away at Kindred Hospital in Mansfield on Saturday, December 28, 2019. She was born on November 16, 1942 in Miles City, Montana to Robert Frank Mason and Maizie Irene Mason (Dunkin).

Darlene graduated from Rogers High School in Spokane, Washington in 1959 and spent the majority of her life as a waitress. She also worked security for Latco Trucking in Corsicana and the power plant in Ennis. She always said that she’d rather be on the floor serving folks than spending time in the kitchen cooking. She had an amazing sense of humor and was never lacking for a joke to tell to her family, friends and customers. She loved spending time with her family no matter what they were doing, as long as they were together.
She was an avid reader and she loved to play gambling games and lotto whenever she could. She was full of vitality for most of her life.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Darrell Dean Litchfield and her second husband Richard A. Bridges. Darlene was also preceded in death by her parents; her brother and sister-in-law Don and Mary Mason, and her brother-in-law Calvin Deckard and daughter-in-law Gloria “Vonnie” Litchfield.
Darlene is survived by her sister, Dorothy Deckard and brother, Dave Mason and wife Lisa; her children; Valerie Thomas, Randy Litchfield and wife Lana, and Melanie Ferguson and longtime significant other Rudy Barajas. She leaves behind to cherish her memories her grandchildren; Darrel Wallace, Kalyn Avery and husband Joshua, Josh Ferguson and wife Dara and Nikki Gentry plus numerous great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Corley Funeral Home.
