Our precious Eden Passed from this earth on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at the age of 43 from complications of diabetes. She was a beloved wife, daughter, mother and grandmother.
To send flowers in memory of Eden Elaine Burns (Harrist), please visit our Heartfelt Sympathies Store.
Eden was born on April 14, 1976 in Atlanta, Texas to Charles Harrist, Jr. and Nancy Loper Harrist and moved to Corsicana with her family at the age of 14.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charles Harrist, Sr. and Jerri Harrist and Frank and Betty Loper.
She is survived by her husband, Tony Burns, mother, Nancy Harrist, both of Corsicana; father, Charles Harrist, Jr. of Atlanta; sons, Jacob Tomlin and wife Meagan and Cody Tomlin and wife Ragan, and grandson, Dominic Tomlin, all of Corsicana; brothers, Michael Caver of Bothel, Washington and Jeff Harrist of Anchorage, Alaska; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; and special “sisters” Latricia Ottinger, Amy Lee and Christy Nutt, and her other “mom”, Janet Nutt.
Eden was strong and independent, with a deep love for her family and friends. She had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. She loved the Dallas Cowboys, the Texas Rangers, and John Cena of WWE wrestling and we knew not to disturb her if she was watching any of them on TV.
The family would like to sincerely thank Dr. Polkampalli and the ICU nurses and staff at Navarro Regional for their compassion and care. Their efforts on behalf of our Eden are truly appreciated. Our girl is now running, arms outstretched and whole through a field of wild flowers, no longer suffering and in pain.
Visitation with the family will be held from 6-8pm Friday, June 7, 2019 at Corley Funeral Home. Services are scheduled for 2:00pm Saturday, June 8, 2019 at Corley Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Michael Sinteff officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Jacob Tomlin, Cody Tomlin, Billy Barber, Jr. and Mike Burns. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
