Lee Hodge, age 92, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at Navarro Regional Hospital in Corsicana, Texas. He was born near Mertzon, Texas on August 27, 1926 to Roy B. Hodge and Gracie Burnes Hodge. He resided at the Heritage Oaks Retirement Village in Corsicana for the last four years.

He served in the US Army during War World II. He married Norma Belle Mackin in Houston, Texas on Friday, August 13, 1949 and stayed happily married for 65 years. Lee and Norma were members of Trinity and North Side two different Baptist Churches during their 24 years together in Corsicana. They were both dedicated Christians who served their Lord every day. His loving wife Norma died on January 26, 2014. Lee had been attending Sunday Services (sponsored by Westside Baptist Church) at H.O.R.V. for the last four years.
Lee was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Norma.
He is survived by son Jerry and wife, Sandy (Lee’s favorite daughter-in-law), and Lee’s favorite grandchildren Caitlin and Colin Hodge. Also, Lee is survived by his daughters Kim Hodge and Kay Holcomb. Kay Holcomb is married to Sid Holcomb who was Lee’s favorite son-in-law. Lee had many friends here in Corsicana and his family wants to thank them all for loving Lee.
Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. on Monday, April 29, 2019 at Corley Funeral Home. Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery in Retreat, Texas with Rev. Larry Talbert officiating.
