Corley Funeral Home Named "Texas Treasure" by the Texas Historical Commission
Corley Funeral Home was honored with the Texas Treasure Business Award Wednesday, July 2, 2014 by State Representative Byron Cook (R-Corsicana).
"Corley Funeral Home has been an important part of the fabric of Corsicana since 1929," Cook said. "I am pleased to present this award to Ron and Suzanne Smith in appreciation for the significance of Corley Funeral Home to our community."
"It is such an honor to receive this recognition from the Texas Historical Commission, and I accept it on behalf of the Corley families; three generations that built this fine business," Ron Smith said.
"It's a privilege also for Suzanne and me to be the proud owners of such a historic funeral home, one of the few remaining of its kind in the State of Texas. But most of all we thank the good people of Corsicana and Navarro County for their loyalty and trust over all the years."
“We are honored to continue to provide quality Corley service.”
Corley Funeral Home has been selected to become an exclusive, Certified Veterans & Family Memorial Care Provider
for Corsicana and Navarro County.
VFMC providers are family owned and operated. They are selected for upholding the highest level of ethical business standards and integrity while providing outstanding, affordable professional service. The staff at Corley's are experts in assisting families with all aspects of the final arrangements and they work closely with all Veterans Service Organizations and local Hospice providers.
The government does an excellent job providing veterans and their spouses with burial benefits if you use a Veterans National or State cemetery, however, there are very limited benefits for the funeral or cremation arrangements. Corley's has demonstrated a willingness and commitment to reach out to veterans and their families by providing affordable, quality funeral & cremation arrangements. They honor and pay tribute to veterans everyday.
