Jonathan Daniel Thrasher, age 38, passed away on April 10, 2018 in Austin, Texas. He was born on May 6, 1979 in Dallas, Texas to Randall B. Thrasher and Janet Weatherby Thrasher.
Jonathan loved sports and fishing. He was a very fun loving, free spirited kind of person. He was always smiling and made the best of every situation. He was reared in Corsicana, Texas until the age of 11 and then moved to the Tyler area. He attended school in Whitehouse and graduated high school there in 1998. He was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church. He had the best heart and he would not tolerate bullying of any kind. Jonathan would help anyone in need. He was the type of person to give the shirt off his back as he often did.
His family wants him to be remembered for his kind heart and free spirit.
Jonathan is with the Lord now and free of pain. He was such a wonderful person during his short life on Earth. He is loved so much by so many and will be missed tremendously.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Jonathan is survived by his children; Kaylee Weeks of Augusta, KS and Alissa Carter of Whitehouse, TX. He is also survived by his siblings; Laura Thrasher Cochran and husband, Terry of Bullard, TX and Jeffrey Thrasher and wife, Michelle of Frisco, TX. ; his nephews, Chase and Luke Cochran and Colt Thrasher. Jonathan is survived by his cousin, Wade Weatherby and wife, Tammy of Dawson, TX. and his step-mother, Charlotte Thrasher of Whitehouse, TX. Jonathan leaves behind many cousins and friends that loved him dearly.
Graveside services are scheduled for Sunday, August 5, 2018 at Oakwood Cemetery in Corsicana, TX. under the direction of Corley Funeral Home with Mr. Todd Jones officiating.
