Condolence From: Steve Averill
Condolence: Bill was full of life, energy and vitality. He had an engaging grin for almost everyone. I’d like to remember that.

Condolence: Rest in Peace Uncle Bill. No more pain, and you can go running again.
Best memories were at Lake Worth at Aunt Lenora & Uncle Dees property. Water skiing together with Dave, as the 3 of us pyramid skied around the lake! We loved camping with "Nana & Grandpa Dale". And skiing around the lake.
So glad we got to see you and the family at Grandpa Dales birthday party!
You will be missed but never forgotten.
Your oldest niece,
Love Pam❤️❤️❤️

Condolence: I am so sorry for your loss. As a contemporary of Bill at Vought I knew him to be bright, energetic and a true gentleman. I regret that I never had the pleasure of working with him on a project. I hope that you can find some comfort from the respect and high esteem with which Bill was regarded by all of his work and professional friends. God bless you in this difficult time.

He was a man of good character, patience & compassion. Our prayer is for the Holy Spirit’s comfort for all of you and for Bill’s children especially.

With much love,
Jim & Susan

Condolence From: Dr. JIm H Patton
Condolence: Bill was a gentleman and a scholar, who used his talents to become a very influential leader in the Scouting movement mostly in the Longhorn Council. He served at the unit level, but I knew him through his service at the council level – principally in our adult Scouter training program. Bill was a devoted Wood Badge training staff member both before and after he was a WB Course Director. After he directed a course Bill continued to serve in any way asked but primarily as a photographer and audio-visual display technician. Given his technical background it would not surprise anyone that his photographs and videos were technically excellent, but they were also artful and engaging, capturing the essence of Scouting activities and the joy of participants. His end-of-course videos, set to music, were of the same quality as those most of us have seen at the end of the NCAA spring basketball tournaments – “One Shining Moment”. If Bill took on a task it always resulted in a superlative job – always better than simply well-done. Bill was a faithful and devoted husband and father and a patient and resourceful leader in the Longhorn community. Bill Pinkerton was a model Scout, modestly living daily the virtues of the Scout Oath and Law. My wish for those of you who were blessed to know him as a family member is that his apparent faith sustains you in your faith during this time of loss and separation. Those of us who knew him over the years, spent many days with him camping out on training courses, also feel a deep sense of loss for not being able to see his smiling face and experience his always cheerful and helpful demeanor. We have this week lost an exceptional friend and Scouting colleague.
Dr. Jim H. Patton – Past President Longhorn Council

Condolence: In my many years working both for and with Bill I came to appreciate the zeal in which he approached his work and his life. Dedication to excellence, Commitment to promises, honesty with all he contacted. In all of that he also had a fine sense of humor and loved sharing all that he knew to help us with our obstacles. The dedication to his wife's health and well being is a powerful testament to a man's love. Thank you for being a part of our team.

Condolence: Bill was such a joy to work with. His smile and upbeat attitude was great to see every day. I have been in the business 30 years and he was one of those engineers who was always coming in with something off the wall. He will be truly missed.
