Mrs. Mazella M. Wise, 87, of Corsicana passed away on Monday, May 28, 2018 at her residence in Corsicana. She was born on April 9, 1931 in Lindsey, Oklahoma to Herman and Gladys Deburger.
She was a member of Victory in Praise Life Center in Waco, Texas. She will be remembered for her love of God, family, and her work. She served Corsicana for over 50 years at Roy’s Café, Humbert’s Hickory House and Sirloin Stockade as a waitress. She was very creative, and liked to sew and create her own unique designs, as well as write poetry. She was active in the Candlelighters which fueled her deep passion for helping woman and children.
She married the love of her life Clinton Wise in 1947, and out of that union she has two surviving sons, Steve Wise and wife Michelle and John Wise and wife Samantha; five granddaughters, Miranda and husband Dave, Vesta, Sara, Era and Wendy; a grandson, Wesley; a great grandson, Jesse and a great granddaughter, Anna. She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Sushi.
Visitation with the family will be held from 5:00-7:00 P.M. on Friday, June 1, 2018 at Corley Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at the Corley Funeral Home Chapel with Apostle Linda A. Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will Steve Wise, John Wise, Wesley Wise, Joseph Frazier and Jesse Lavene.
