Obituary for Karon Alta Avenius (Howard)
Mrs. Karon Alta Avenius, 98, of Fort Worth passed away on Monday, April 16, 2018 at Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth. She was born on February 2, 1920 in West, Texas to Edward Franklin and Anna Lee Earley Howard.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a longtime member of the Church of Christ in Dawson, Texas. She worked and drove a bus for a daycare center for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Lee England; sons, John Franklin England and James Melvin England; parents, Edward Franklin and Anna Lee Howard, and a brother, Sumner Martin Howard.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Lillard of Fort Worth and Sheryl Bielby of Arlington; fifteen grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren; sister, Pauline Page of Waco, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Corley Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at the Corley Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Anthony Warnes officiating. Interment will follow in Cottonwood Cemetery in Hubbard. Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
