G.L. "Jerry" Rozelle
Gerald “Jerry” Rozelle, a long-time resident of Corsicana, died Wednesday the 11th of April in his home after a long battle with cancer.
Born January 6, 1942 in Stamford, TX, Jerry graduated High School from L.D. Bell High School in 1959 and attended the University of Texas at Arlington and TCU.
Jerry married Mary Rozelle on June 16, 1962 and enjoyed over 54 years of marriage.
Jerry attended First Methodist Church of Corsicana and enjoyed playing guitar and piano at services there. He loved traveling with family and friends and being a former computer programming consultant, loved to tinker with the latest electronic gadgets and games.
He is preceded in death by his wife Mary, father Clyde Rozelle, mother Grace, and brother Grady.
He is survived by his children, Jay and Diane Rozelle, Kevin and Kathy Rozelle, Tim and Cynthia Rozelle, Mike and Jennifer Rozelle, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews Johnny Campisi, Steven Campisi, Chris and Kim Campisi, several grandnephews, and grandnieces, all of whom live in Texas, and brought great joy to his later years.
A time of visitation will be held 5:00-7:00pm Sunday, April 15, 2018 at Corley Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00am Monday, April 16, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church with Dr. Steven Bell officiating.
