Masako Watson (Nishikawa)
Dallas, TX — MASAKO WATSON, 80, died Sunday, October 8, 2017 following a brief illness.
She leaves her three sons: Thomas, William, and David Watson; six grandchildren: Ashley, Tyler, Olivia, Jacob, Kyle, and Ryan Watson and two loving daughters-in-law, Laura and Allison Watson.
Masako was born in 1937 in Kota-ku, Osaka to Fukutaru and Kazue Nishikawa. Her early years are mysterious, however we know she married US Army Master Sergeant Gaylon Watson, from Corsicana TX, in 1957. The newlyweds moved with Mr. Watson's army assignments throughout the world and by 1960 she had borne three beautiful sons. After her children had grown and her husband retired from the US Army the couple settled down in Monterrey, California, where they lived for many years. After Gaylon's death in 1994, Masako relocated to Richardson, Texas, where her oldest son resided. She loved to work in her yard, ride the public transportation of Dallas, and spend quality time with her grandchildren who all adored her.
A wake will be held on Saturday, October 14, at Corley Funeral Home in Corsicana, TX at 12:00pm and a funeral will follow at 2:00pm at Resthaven Cemetery.
